Markus is a Strategic procurement expert in ICT and Consultancy and Head of the competence centre for socio-political procurement objectives. He is a procurement expert with close to 20 years of experience in the public sector. This includes more than 8 years of experiences in public procurement, specialising in the fields of ICT and consultancy (strategic and operational procurement). Head of the competence centre for socio-political procurement goals and thus responsible for SMEs, sustainability, regionality and innovation from the strategic purchasing perspective.

Prior to the BBG, more than 10 years in technical management at the Central IT Service of the University of Vienna.

Furthermore, lecturer at the BBG’s in-house academy (PPA), as well as at the Federal Academy of Public Administration, focused on socio-political procurement objectives.
