Professional Background

More than 20 years of experience in the field of public procurement in the Ministry of Defence and the Austrian Central Purchasing Body (BBG). Expert in strategic purchasing, responsible for the development of purchasing strategies for a comprehensive range of products & services in different industries, such as Automotive, ICT, Energy, Health & Pharmaceutical and Consultancy.

Management and continuous optimization of the purchasing processes, to achieve cost reductions while maintaining or improving the quality of supplies and services. Directing procurement professionals and team leaders. His procurement team is responsible for the preparation of calls, needs assessments, market analysis and drafting the tendering strategy and documents.

Responsible for recruiting and evaluation of purchasing professionals, team and individual employee development.

Experience in staff training at the BBG’s in-house Public Procurement Academy, teaching strategic public procurement.

 

 


Overall Objectives of the Module


After completing the module, the participants will be able to:

  • create tendering strategies to ensure fulfilment of customer demand at the best cost-benefit ratio
  • efficiently implement tendering strategies
  • implement socio-political objectives in tendering strategies
