Overall Objectives of the Module

After completion of this module, the participants will be able to:

  • explain the added value of e-procurement solutions in the supply chain
  • apply the applicable EU regulations and directives
  • explain e-procurement as an enabler for digitization
  • evaluate the relevance of recommendations given by specific expert groups (eg: EC, OECD, EXEP)
  • recognize critical success factors and challenges for the implementation of e- procurement solutions for CPB / Contracting Authorities (CA) / Business Operator (BO)

Professional Background of the Trainer

Current position:

Head of Consulting & E-Procurement & International Affairs and responsible for a wide range of BBG offerings for expert services and e-procurement solutions, as well as for international projects.

He acts as a lecturer for the BBG’s Public Procurement Academy

Career history:
Uwe is a Sourcing & Procurement expert and leader with more than 16 years’ experience as Management Consultant and Senior Project Manager. This includes more than 5 years experiences in public procurement specialized in the areas of Central Purchasing Bodies, e-procurement and consulting. He has also considerable experience in providing expert services within EU-funded public procurement projects and OECD missions.

He successfully ran and delivered international transformation and transition projects for process and organizational optimizations, IT implementations as well as business process outsourcing in the area of Sourcing & Procurement.

Uwe is a certified banker and studied business administration at University of Regensburg (Germany)
