Professional Background of the Trainer

Marketing and product manager at the BBG.

My main tasks are the development and ongoing optimization of a uniform marketing strategy and the conception, planning and further development of event concepts.

Furthermore, I am responsible for the development of an annual schedule for all BBG events, preparation of budgets, forecasts of the total costs, proactive controlling and risk management of event planning.

Another focus is sustainable procurement strategies for the BBG, such as a national action plan for sustainable procurement in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism. One of the main tasks concerning this topic is also developing and executing a communication strategy for sustainability at the BBG.

Before the BBG, I had six years of experience in event management at the Austrian Students Union, there I was responsible for implementation of projects in the areas of sustainability and culture (planning, application, management, completion).

Professional Background of the Trainer

With a team of 6 people, Ilse Beneke’s job is to foster the implementation of sustainability aspects in public procurement in Germany and to provide practical help to public contracting authorities.

Ilse Beneke is head of the Competence Centre for Sustainable Procurement at the Procurement Agency of the Federal Ministry of the Interior.
Being a lawyer, she started her career at the Ministry of Ecology, Health and Consumer protection for the Federal State of Brandenburg. As one of her last activities there, she was responsible for the partnership between the Government of the Federal State of Brandenburg and the business- and craft associations, addressing and fostering an eco-friendly economic behavior.

Her enthusiasm to form a sustainable and future-orientated society led her to complete extra-occupational master-studies dealing with „Responsible Management“
