General manager of Public Procurement Directorate and responsible for leading government groups, on specialized procurement, on centralising health procurement, on green procurement.
Sašo has excellent know-how on centralised procurement, framework agreements, specially used in main procurement fields, European public procurement law (legislation, EU Court decisions, practice) and national public procurement legislation (responsible for implementing law on public procurement). Furthermore, he has expertise in combating corruption practices and integrity in public procurement. He has vast experience in implementing concrete procurement procedures and has been involved in more than 1000 procurement
procedures, most of them centralized. He also acts as a lecturer and speaker at both national and international conferences and seminars and organises an annual international conference on public procurement in Slovenia. He is the author of various expert articles on public procurement and the author of the book “Template documents for Public Procurement” and legal “Commentary of the Public Procurement Law”.
Sašo has a lot of experience in working on international projects in different countries and has conducted several trainings and seminars on public procurement legislation and integrity in public procurement.
